Musée municipal archéologique de Sévérac d’Aveyron
Due to the current health context, the municipal archaeological museum will not be open during the summer season 2020.
Archaeological Museum that enables you to discover objects from daily life from the 15th century back to 180 000 years ago: weapons, finery, ceramics, cut and polished stones. Museum installed in the cellar of the Office de Tourisme et de la Culture, 3 rooms one of which is paved and has a vaulted ceiling, a covered courtyard arranged as a lapidary, a reception room with displays presenting diverse pieces found in mound of the château. The room with the vaulted ceiling is reserved for the Gallo-Roman period and the iron age. The third room holds pieces from the Copper and Bronze Ages, polished stones and cut stones (180 000 BC).
